KIPI has been conducting various projects in order to meet the intellectual property competitions of the 21st century.

To promote the utilization of national intellectual property information, we provide a free patent information search system, patent information net, KIPRIS, and our data management center has built a quality assurance system to maintain high-quality patent data.

In addition, Korea patent abstracts in English-language database is utilized for domestic patents as prior art data in case of searching patents from foreign patent offices. Through the operation of the patent net system, which has automatized work from application to judgment by the patent office, it can provide prompt and effective handling of patent administrative procedures.

The electronic patent documents center provides high-quality evaluation based on digitization of documents in regards to all industrial properties. The patent customer service answers all questions regarding patent net and intellectual property fields with just a single call. The trade secret protection center systematically protects corporate trade secrets.

The IP integrated information center operates by integrating each institution’s IP information system; and improves security, reliability, and strengthens industrial competition on IP information service by creating greater value.
